Depart on your Jet Boat tour from Taumarunui, the upper most region of the Whanganui River.
Traveling downstream you’ll pass through King Country farmland and bush clad hills and into the middle reaches of the Whanganui National Park. Discover Tamatea’s cave, the Whirlpool, Tarei Po Kiore and Kirikiriroa Marae site, and hear stories of the river and its historical and cultural significance.
Arrive at the Mangaparua landing and take a beautiful 2.5km trail walk through the Whanganui National Park to the iconic Bridge to Nowhere. Enjoy a picnic lunch and learn about the farming pioneers that once tried to settle there.
