Traveling downstream you’ll pass through King Country farmland and bush clad hills and into the middle reaches of the Whanganui National Park. Discover Tamatea’s cave, the Whirlpool, Tarei Po Kiore and Kirikiriroa Marae site, and hear stories of the river and its historical and cultural significance.
